Hi, I'm Sandy — I stand beside families at the IEP table.
For more than twenty years I’ve been sitting at IEP tables — first as a mother, then as a school-team member, and today as a Master IEP Coach® and bilingual educational advocate. That range is what lets me hear both sides of the room and turn conflict into collaboration.
Why I do this work.
Most parents don’t plan on becoming experts in the special education process. You just want your child to be safe, supported, and understood at school. I’ve been that parent — and I’ve been the professional on the other side of the table too.
I’ve worked with over 1,000 families of students with learning disabilities, developmental differences, autism, and complex healthcare needs. Every meeting is different. What stays the same is the goal: an IEP that actually works for the child in front of us.

Sandy partners with parent groups, nonprofits like GiGi’s Playhouse Miami, and organizations to train families and staff on special education rights. As President of an autism awareness foundation, she also helps bring sensory-friendly events to families and equip classrooms with sensory equipment to better support students with autism.
Family is the reason all of this exists. When she isn’t in a meeting or leading a workshop, you’ll find her with her own family — the reminder of why every child deserves a champion in the room.
